Sites and Monument Record: Millfield North Lodge (SMR 2094)

Description
Stone built lodge for Millfield House, c1850. The lodge stands next to the entrance drive from Polmont Road. Two tapering pillars with pyramid tops flank the backset gate with iron railings curving to terminal pillars in the boundary wall. The dwelling has two gablets crowned with chamfered chimney stack facing north onto the public road. The eaves extends beyond the wall line and is finished with bargeboards. A short bay window faces east onto the drive and is capped by a chamfered lintel/roof set under another gablet.
