 Description
A double deck tramcar on the circular route is proceeding along a cobbled street which is lightly covered in snow. The tramway is double tracked. There are shops and two-storey buildings on either side and horse-drawn vehicles parked at the side of the road.

Tramcars are more able to keep going in icy or snowy conditions than motor cars or buses. However the open top and open doors would make it a cold journey. The double deck open trams were superseded by single deck enclosed trams from 1929 onwards.
