Letter from John Wardrop, Falkirk to [his brother in law] Alexander Shaw, surgeon, HM Ship Windsor, mentioning that he hopes his gout has improved. Also mentioning about the impending marriage of James Shaw [Alexander’s nephew]. Also mentioning that a bond and Instrument of Sasine for Dalquhairn and Paixhole in favour of him [Alexander] is in in his hand. Also mentioning that he thought it unfair that Alexander had been asked by his brother [James Shaw] and nephew to lay our so much of his money. Letter damaged, parts missing.
