Description
The heads of the rivets by which the ship's plates were fixed together can be seen, and the rusty surface of the plates. The men are holding sledge hammers and other tools of their trade. They are holding a notice 'The last of the La (sic) Normandie'.

Normandie' was a passenger/cargo vessel of 6029 tons built in 1882 and sold to the Forth Shipbreaking Co by Cie Generale Transatlantique. She was broken up at Bridgeness where she arrived in August 1912.
