Monestra, originally named Lulea, was built in 1902 by Helsingørs Jernskibs og Maskinbyggeri, Helsingør for H.M. Gehrckens, Hamburg, 1916 wrecked, wreck sold to Rederi AB Svea, repaired renamed Kare, 1940 seized by Germans at Narvik renamed Hela, 1947 returned to owners but in a bad condition, 1947 sold to Red AB Monark, Stockholm reconditioned and renamed Monestra, 7th November 1957 sunk in collision.
