Description
Tramlines are being laid in a trench by men using pickaxes and spades. Spacers ensure track spacing is true to the four foot gauge. There are two horse drawn carts and four men with wheelbarrows. Bags (of cement?) are piled against a telephone pole. Album caption reads: "Laying the tram track. Year 1904"
