A bus is approaching up Grahamsdyke Street, probably on a Grangemouth to Falkirk service. The houses are of one and two-storeys, one with an outside stair. There are telephone poles lining the pavement.

The tram service along this road ceased in 1924. However, most local travel in the 1920s was by walking, bicycle, bus or tramcar and the train for longer journeys. Cars were owned by the well-off and by certain occupations like doctors, businessmen and commercial travellers.
