Annotated on reverse "Deasy car (or Siddely Daisy?) belonging to Nobel Factory at Polmont. Mrs Jeannie S Murdoch and Matthew in back"

A child and a woman wearing a hat are sitting in the back of a car, registration LC2518. The fixed roof has a roof rack with what might be the spare wheel. The chauffeur in uniform sits at the wheel. The car has acetylene headlamps, oil sidelamps and pneumatic tyres.

The car is probably a Wolseley-Siddeley 40 hp dating from about 1908. In 1909 J D Siddeley left the company to join the Deasy Motor Co to produce, from 1912, the Siddeley-Deasy. The motor car was owned by Nobel Explosives Co. Westquarter Works.
