The bridge is of two stone arches, and bears the date 1782. Including the approaches, it is 51 metres long. The larger arch is 13m wide. The tramway was laid over it in 1905 but is was superseded by a concrete road bridge in 1925 which itself had to be replaced in the 1960s.
