Description
View of the deck of an oil tanker. The deck is steel. A hatch cover is closed by large butterfly nuts. A steel door in the bulkhead is open. Three large diameter flexible pipes are connected to large valves on the deck. Behind them is a ventilator cowl.

The tanker is berthed at the Scottish Oils jetty at Grangemouth Docks. The British Workman was a steam powered tanker of 6994 tons built in 1922 for the British Tanker Company (BTC). She was torpedoed and sunk in 1942. BTC was founded in 1915 by Anglo-Iranian Oil, which became BP.
