"There is also reference to... John Coubrough, farmer, Thorn. William Coubrough of Elrig was noted as living with John Coubrough of Thorn following the failure of the Bank and they may have been brothers." John Coubrough was Ellrig's cousin and son-in-law. John's grandfather was Ellrig's younger brother, and John's wife was Ellrig's eldest daughter Jean. Ellrig lived with John and Jean until his passing in Dec 1835 at the age of about 93.
