Subject notes
Built as Glen Carron House in 1862 for Andrew Duncan, owner of Herbertshire (Paper) Mill, the mansion became the offices of Carrongrove Paperboard Mill. The company offered their workers more modest housing but by the 1920s they had electricity supplied from the mill's own plant.HOUSE 7963 8294
