plaque; bus

Description
Silver and black aluminium plaque from Alexander's Coachbuilders, Falkirk from circa 1979. It has the Alexander's logo on the proper left side and had four holes for attaching it to the bus in each corner. These were used to put on outgoing coaches and a serial number was put in the corner. This was one never used, hence it has no number. The numbers were specific to the job eg. Leyland would be LA followed by a contract number and the last number was the year of manufacture.
