Description
Framed water colour of SS Grange at sea by CC Hyall in 1904. Shows SS Grange under steam with sails stowed. it is flying the Carron flag and the at the back the Red Ensign used by British civilian vessels. Various pulleys can be seen on the desk along with the ships wheel and a number of men in uniform. In the background on the proper right is a rocky outcrop (possibly the Bass rock?) with two pleasure sail craft on either side. In the background on the proper left is a three mast sailing ship with full sails.
