Description
Framed water colour of S.S, Carron at sea dated Aug 1910. It is shown under steam with the sails stowed. It is flying the Carron flag (a blue on white version)and the at the back the Red Ensign used by British civilian vessels. There is also a signal flag blue pendant with white pot which means "No". Various pulleys can be seen on the desk along with the life boats. In the background on the proper right is a rocky outcrop (possibly the Isle of May). On the background on the proper left is a three mast sailing ship with full sails.
