Purple silk tie with deigns by Alan Davie printed on the front. At bottom is a signature "Alan Davie 99". Presented in case 2019-005-001/002. This tie is no. 294 of a limited edition of 300. It was designed for a unicef project.

The project Cultural Ties was a celebration of cultural diversity. It saw 77 artists from around the world design neck ties each with a limited edition of 300. They were for sale in retail outlets, gallery shops and on line. The Italian firm Ratti, a major producer of fine textiles for the fashion world, was chosen as the manufacturer.
