Administrative History
Brockville Park, located on Hope Street, Falkirk, was the first home ground of Falkirk F.C., where they played between 1885 and 2003. Following a string of football stadium disasters in the 1980s and a subsequent change in legislation and SFA guidelines for professional teams, Falkirk F.C. were denied promotion to the Scottish Premier League on several occasions due to criteria which Brockville Park did not meet. Brockville Park was demolished towards the end of 2003, having remained largely unchanged for decades, and was considered unsafe to host matches in the Scottish Premier League due to its largely terraced spectator areas. The club now plays its home matches at Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk.
