Subject notes
A woman wearing a hat and headscarf is sitting in the back of a car with two children. The roof at the back is folded down. The fixed roof has a roof rack. The chauffeur in uniform with shiny buttons and white cap is standing by the driver's position. The car is probably a Wolseley-Siddeley 40 hp dating from about 1908. In 1909 Siddeley left the company to join with Henry Deasy to produce, from 1912, the Siddeley-Deasy. The motor car was owned by Nobel Explosives Co.
