Description
Pastel on paper depiction of the Carron Ironworks. Showing the rail line and bogies on the proper left foreground. The bogies nearest the front has two people digging what looks like coal from the top. The works are behind with smoke coming from the chimneys. The work is depicted in oranges and grey/blues tones. The title "Carron Works" is written in pencil on the proper bottom right.
There is also a preparatory pencil sketch of this work which is dated 1927.
