Description
Sketch in sepia line and wash on paper of the inside of the foundry (presumed Carron). This was the intended to be worked up into an etching and shows three men in the foreground, two speaking with long tools in their hands on the proper left foreground and one just right of centre standing alone. Behind is other people and elements of the copulas with what looks like steam or smoke in the centre background.
