 Description
The second part of the training manual for Scientific Advisors with the background to civil defence and training notes for nuclear weapons effects, operational procedures, and other form of attacks. Contains many graphs and tables. The training manual has been written by the Scientific Advisory Branch of the Home Office to supplement the information imparted during initial training courses for local authority scientific advisers. It contains the scientific and procedural knowledge needed to carry out the war duties effectively. The manual replaces the Scientific Intelligence Officers' Operational Notes (from 1965).
