Description
Fragment from blade end of Late Bronze Age socketed axehead of copper alloy; length 21.2 mm, width 43.2 mm, thickness 12 mm. Shallow blade, minimally expanded beyond end of gently concave sides. Blade damaged and fairly blunt; parts of surface missing, and there are iron-pan concretions on each side and in the socket. Vertical internal seam in socket. Scratches on both surfaces.
