Subject notes
The Wheatsheaf Inn is on the right and behind it is the Steeple. If a two-storey house was designed for two families with one living above the other, the stair to the first floor was usually built outside the house, partly to save space. This practice ceased in the 19th century.WHEATSHEAF 8882 7985
