Subject notes
King's Arms Court is now known as King's Court. Closes, or narrow lanes called wynds or vennels ran off the High Street. Some were demolished around 1900 to improve traffic flow, others in the late 20th century to make way for shopping centres. Some still survive, including King's Arms Court.
