Subject notes
The station was opened to passengers by the Caledonian Railway on 1 April 1858. The Denny branch left the Glasgow to Stirling line near Larbert. The journey time to Larbert was about ten minutes. The station closed to passenger traffic in July 1930 but a service to the paper-mills, carrying goods such as esparto grass was maintained until it closed completely in 1964. Steam engines sometimes pulled trains tender first. The engine is in the (pale blue) livery of the Caledonian Railway Company.
