Subject notes
The bakery was opened by Slamannan Co-operative Society in March 1893. The inside was lined with enamelled brick. It was located next to the railway station which reduced the expense of carting the raw materials required for bakery production.

The plant consisted of a stirring machine, a doughing machine, a biscuit rolling machine, a hoist and loaf weighing machine. The machinery was driven by a gas-engine, gas being brought over a kilometre from the village.

PEOPLE LISTED BACK TO FRONT ROWS, LEFT TO RIGHT. MISS YOUNG LATER BECAME A TEACHER.
