Description
Pair of Sevres vases.
Vase 1 : Urn shaped (oviform ?) with two handles, one either side curling round at rim. Image portrays woman and man on horseback with three children playing with dog. Reverse image portrays ruined house with gardens in background.
Vase 2 : Urn shaped (oviform ?) with two handles, one either side curling round at rim. Image portrays man on horseback with two children holding pony. Reverse image is a view looking out onto garden with blue sky overhead.
The vases are of composite materials with clay bodies attached to brass bases by wooden clamps secured with steel bolts. These in turn stand on wooden mounts covered with red felt.
