Description
Black silk (crepe) dress with long sleeves. Closes at the back with 6 white buttons. Embroidery detail in white along the neckline. Side zip fastening with six buttons and rouleau loops on back. The body of the dress is made of two pieces of material in the form of a cross with inset panels (eight altogether) on either side in bodice and skirt. Inset panels in front bodice have horizontal gathers to side seams. Probably made by a dress maker as partly machine sewn and partly hand sewn. Dress lengthened by addition of a false hem.
