Navy coloured Civil Defence Corps beret with a sewn on patch showing the Scottish lion and King's crown Civil defence logo with "Civil defence corps" around the outside of the logo. Printed inside in white is "M/ Berets knitted CD.18/ BERET INDUSTRIES LTD./ 1951". With the broad arrow signifying that it is government property. Stamped on the inside, also in white it something that looks like " C W (broad arrow) D 62"

C was the code for 1952 so perhaps the beret was made in 1951 but not accepted until 1952?
