Description
A flock of about 15 whiteface, probably Cheviot, sheep and 7 Ayrshire cattle are being driven along the street from Falkirk by a farmer and his dog. Children in Edwardian dress of lace collars (boys) and pinafores (girls) are following on the pavement. The street is lined with houses of one, two and three storeys.

Rail and steamship had replaced the old cattle droves but for local movements the animals were still driven. Even Camelon Main Street traffic consisted of only a few horses and carts, so there was no danger.The tramway was laid along this road in 1905. There is a billiard room on the street next to George Boyd's shop.
