Subject notes
SS Pomeron was a steamer of 1809 tons built by the Grangemouth Dockyard Co for the Furness Withy Group. A ship without power of her own is unwieldy. The tug at her bow is pulling her forward to the fitting out basin. The tug at her stern is to prevent the stern of the ship swinging to either side out of control.
