Description
French five franc note with blue ink on white paper. Called the zodiac note due to the zodiac signs (on front in middle of the serial number, a different one was used for each month of issue). On the obverse are the allegorical figures (Force, Work and Fortune) and the words "374644895 BANQUE DE FRANCE CINQ FRANCS LE CAISSIER PRINCIPAL LE SECRETAIRE GENERAL F 18/16 F 895 U.14986"
On the reverse is an architectural ornament. On the reverse is an architectural ornament with fruit and flowers. Printed on the obverse is and on the reverse is " 5 FB BANQUE DE FRANCE".
Assoc date 2.1.1912 to 2.2.1917.
