Description
White metal medal commemorating the Renfrewshire Political Union.It is decorated on the obverse with a fasces surrounded by laurels and on the reverse there is an image of a shield surround by rays and emblems such as thistle, shamrock, sword, scales and cornucopia. Embossed on the obverse is "RENFREWSHIRE POLITICAL UNION INSTITUTED 3RD DECR 1830 TO OBTAIN A RADICAL REFORM OF OUR NATIONAL ABUSES". On the reverse is "REFORM BILLS THE PLAN OF EXTENDING THE ELECTIVE FRANCHISE AND OF OBTAINING A JUST CHEAP AND PEACEFUL GOVERNMENT MAGNA CARTA 1215 REVOLUTION 1688 REFORM BILLS 1832"
