 Description
Aluminium medal with an image of George V and Mary on the obverse and the Queen Mary passenger liner on the reverse. Embossed on the obverse is "DAILY RECORD MEDAL 534 SEPTEMBER 26TH 1934 " Embossed on the reverse is "26th". This medal probably commemorates the record breaking crossing of the Atlantic by the Queen Mary. The Daily Record referred to is probably a record distance travelled in one hour.
