Description
A flared white dish with brown transfer patterns touched in gold. They have beading at the base and on the edge of the rim. The decoration includes a picture of Britannia flanked by a lion and a sailing ship placed within a floral garland in three places. It is hand painted in gilt to highlight the decoration. On the base is an image of a crown above a circle within laurels. Made for Queen Victoria's Jubilee the transfer on the base reads "BRITANNIA D.L. & Co.", transfer on the side reads "JUBILEE 1887 BRITANNIA" (repeated twice).
