Description
Longcase clock made by William Dobbie, clockmaker, Falkirk. The case is of oak with columns at the front corners. Those on the hood are free standing. To either side of the arch are fretted panels backed with a red fabric. The two "Horns" are finished with brass discs with a vase finial between the. The brass dial has applied moulded brass decoration in the spandrels and arch - leaves, sea monsters and faces. The numbers are set on a broad silver coloured ring and there is a silver coloured disc in the arch engraved "WILM DOBIE/ FALKIRK" between two fish. Functions on this clock include date, hours, minutes and seconds.
