Description
Cast iron plaque of the old Falkirk Burgh (pre 1906) coat-of-arms. This depicts two bairns supporting a shield, quartered. Moulded on the top is "Tangite Unum Tangite Omnes" and along the bottom is "Better meddle with the de'il than the bairns of Falkirk".
Top-right - a Highland soldier; bottom-right - 3 broad
swords; top left - lion rampant; bottom left -
spearman. All cold painted.
