Full length portrait of Mrs Wilson, nee Russel. She is leaning on a ledge to the left, with a plant in a pot beneath the ledge. She is wearing a long, full dress, with buttons down the front of the bodice, and a small, lighter coloured collar, and a ribboned, indoor bonnet. There is a cape or shawl lying on the ledge.
