View of Arnothill from the infirmary car park. 'Eriden', the larger of the houses on the hill, is a two-storey villa with Jacobean gables and balustraded balcony. 'Arnothall' is steeply gabled with a three-stage French-roofed tower and wedge shaped spire.

Arnothill is a natural ridge which was developed in the 19th century for the better-off Falkirk residents. Eriden was a built c1865 in snecked rubble with ashlar corners. It is a listed building. Arnothall was built in 1873.

The cars in the photograph are all British, apart from the Volkswagen at the back. From left to right they are a Mark 1 Ford Escort; Ford Zephyr; unidentified; Hillman Minx (the red and cream one, probably about 9 years old); Ford Anglia; Ford?; Ford Zodiac; Ford Consul Classic, Morris/Austin 1100 and a Mini.
