Description
Cream coloured binder of lambswool with white lawn cotton binding at one end. Other is the natural bind (selvage) and has a orange/red line on it (possible recycled blanket?). Longside edges are roughly tacked. Hand sewn, according to the donor, it was used for her son. Its purpose was to protect and flatten the navel of the baby until the skin naturally sealed and dried.
