Description
Flat-backed half-bulbous-shaped wooden pattern with the straight edge on the left. A carved, wooden relief decoration, lined by a thin metal edge on the right is mounted on the front. The design depicts a finely carved S-scroll, partially clad in fine leaves. On the end of the bottom curl, is a frowning male head, and a screaming bird's head on the end of the other curl.
Probably for a hob grate.
