It has an angled, edged frame with a spiral ribbon on the inside frame and a central panel with a relief design. this design has a large oval containing a classical female figure kneeling in a landscape, wearing a warrior outfit and a helmet (possibly the goddess of war - Diana). She holds a large plain shield with the date 1787 carved into it. Underneath the oval is a ribbon, with the inscription 'La vertu est mon guide' (Truthfulness is my guide). Above it is a small drapery on either side, from which the oval hangs. On either side are two ribbons with long tails.
