 Description
Longcase clock made by clockmaker Peter Keir, Falkirk circa 1810-1834. Veneered mahogany case with inlaid boxwood lines. Brass dial with silvered central ring for the Roman hour numerals and circular name plate engraved Peter Keir/ Falkirk". The arch and spandrels have moulded brass fretwork designs. The head has a slender pillar on either side with brass capitals. The top has typically Scottish protruding horns and a short central finial.
