Lapel badge with the Tudor (King's) crown with inscription "A.R.P" Air Raid Precaution. D on the back suggested this badge was made in 1939.

The silver ARP badge was designed by Eric Gill a sculptor from a design submitted in 1936 and issuing began in 1937.
