Description
Brass, oval shaped plate with six studs forming five gaps of varying gauge down the centre. The ends have broken off where it has been removed from the desk and you can see holes where it was fixed to the desk. Stamped on the face: "FAWCE- & BUT---ORTH'S BASE COIN DETECTOR REGISTERED - FEBRUARY, 1854 - No. 3569". Used at the ticket office in Polmont Railway Station.
