Description
Longcase clock made by J A Marr, Falkirk in circa 1850. The case is mahogany and the face hand painted. The case is brown and has two large pillars on either side with four smaller pillars around. The face is decorated with five scenes including the May Queen at coronation, one of her doing her duties at each of the four season. It is coloured white, black , green, blue and yellow. Hand painted on the dial is "The May Queen spring summer winter autumn 60 50 40 30 20 10 31 25 20 15 10 5 J. (&) A. Marr Falkirk." The functions on this clock include date, hour, minutes and second.
