Description
Large painted cast iron plaque bearing the Carron Co coat-of-arms. The central part is oval and shows the Company seal, consisting of cross cannon with a phoenix rising from flames surrounded by a border in which is moulded "CARRON COMPANY/ INCORPORATED BY ROYAL CHARTER 1773" In the centre is "ESTO PERPETUA/ FOUNDED 1759". Laurel leaves extend to either side from the base.
