stamp; branding

Description
Collection of 6 stamps with wooden handles and metal heads. The handles are dumb-bell shaped. The heads comprise a series of iron rods projecting from the wood, usually arranged in a circle. In the centre the rods, or pieces of tin, form a word. The words used are WATER, WINE and BUTTER. The stamps were found in Bo'ness Town Hall and were presumably used to brand barrels.
