A knitting wheel that looks like a large spinning wheel
It was used to wind wool onto bobbins for the knitting frame. It needs another part - called a swift to function.
An attached label reads "The winding wheel (estimated to be 200 years old) and the pippin kindly loaned by Messrs TH Knighthall Ltd."
