mast emblem

Description
Top of a mast with a metal sphere nailed around it. This represents a cannonball and was used by Carron Co ships to warn privateers that the ship bearing it was likely to be armed with carronades. This example comes from 'Forth IV', launched 1927, and was removed in 1947 when she was sold to Dinshaws of Bombay.
